Posted on Feb 4, 2010
The MUD #10 board met on February 4th to present details of possible curbside recycling program for Northlake Forest.
Some details:
- The monthly fee would be $2.80 per household. All households would have to participate (there is no "opt out/in".)
- The service provider would provide a recycling bin for each household. The bin is of unknown size or construction. It is unknown if there is a lid.
- Each household may recylce one bin's worth of material per week.
- Aluminum is accepted
- Paper/cardboard is accepted
- Plastic (type 1-7) is accepted
- Glass is accepted
- Material does not have to be sorted.
- It is unknown what condition the recycled material must be in (clean or otherwise)
If the MUD board signs this contract, it would be reviewed and potentially renewed on an annual basis.
The MUD district have asked that each Homeowners Association in the MUD carry out a survery of their neighbourhood on behalf of the MUD. They are sending information to include in the survey -costs, what is required etc.
The Board will send the survey out as soon as it is received but we need volunteers to help coordiante the results - please contact the Board to volunteer your assistence if interested
